Thanks, Robert, for mentioning Dr. Who. It was impossible to watch Hitch
without being reminded of that cheezy but still delightful program.
Someone else mentioned YourBasicFart--woops, excuse my spelling--but
there's a great example of how technology has become so important that
the rest of the elements of a movie have gone into ecclipse. (For
instance, the cheezy soundtrack. But then Speely's always been a dork
when it comes to soundtrack).
It was great to be treated to such stuff as Dr. Who, and Hitch, which
didn't pitch everything so low as to make it obvious that the producers
consider their audience a bunch of cossacks.
